I am looking for the equation for the flagpole formula and from this a formula to determine the depth of a cassion footing for a sign pole.

How about the UBC Chapter 18. Also ASSHTO has a code for the design of Luminaires, Signs, And Flag poles for Loading and another for Sound walls that will calc the depth of piers
