For steel grade 355EMZ according to BSI 7191 ,Is there any limitation in plate thickness for use to structural steel?

JWB46 (Structural) 23 Aug 03 5:16
There are practical limits to how thick plate can be rolled, beyond which it needs to be a forging or casting. 70mm -80mm thicknesses are fairly common in heavy steelwork. Thicker plate than this is not common.
Also, there are limits on yield stress and uts, as set out in the standard, thicker plate has a lower yield stress and uts. (I don't have the standard to hand so I won't tempt providence by relying on memory !)

What sort of thicknesses have you in mind ?

Hope this helps.
