Vertical and Horizontal Dashpot Constant Conversion
Source:Internet Author:Unknow Pubdate:2008-04-25

A co-worker came to ask me if I knew the equation to convert a Vertial Dashpot Constant (2.793x10^6 lb-s/in) and Horizontal Dashpot Constant (1.626x10^3 lb-s/in) to % Critical Damping.

Any help on this would be great, I've only ever seen damping as a percentage...  then again I haven't been in the biz for very long.

Thanks!
