Source:Internet Author:Unknow Pubdate:2010-07-15

A single storey residential structure has been redesigned to two storey structure. As a result of the redesign a column is to be relocated. Unfortunately, there are no structural drawings to make the asssessment. What is the way forward. Thanks

Hire a structural engineer to do the assessment.

Don't try to guess and save money here.  Bite the bullet, hire the SE as Ron suggested and do it right.  Your family deserves no less. Mike McCann
