Can you please direct me to a cie/ a private who can train me on Civil 3D here in the Bay Area, around Mountain view, California?

Had some previous very short experience with Civil Series some 4 years ago. Now I have a small project where I need to use it.
Any help would be much appreciated. I will need 10 hours of training.

No, I cannot afford to pay Autodesk Certified training providers.

Thks.
Need help with rendering/Visualization, standards. Even need some refreshing on how to create surfaces and sections.

When I lived in the bay area we used CAD Masters in Walnut Creek.  I doubt they are "cheap" though.  Most trainers or experienced users you find are going to have the proper certifications and charge accordingly.  I don't know of a strong black-market for underground guerilla Civil 3D training.

Your best bet may be finding a user from a local firm who can teach you on the side afer-hours.  The Civil 3D program is way way way different than what you would have used 4 years ago though, and is not easy to pick up in just a few hours.  The learning curve is pretty large, one Autodesk study showed a significant reduction in productivity for the first ~5 months, and only then was an increase in productivity observed.  If you're looking to use it just for a small project then you're looking at a tough road ahead.

I am up in Mendocino county. If you are still looking for help I may be able to assist you. I am down in the bay area pretty often.

How on earth do you come up with 10 hours? The cheapest Civil3D training is to buy Zimmerman's Harnessing Autodesk Civil3D 2007 and to join the Cadapault group on Yahoo! Groups.
